Dipl. Ing Manfred Popp has been the head of the PROFIBUS and PROFINET Competence Center and Test Laboratory ComDeC in Fürth. He leaded working groups covering PROFINET and PROFIsafe certification and his tasks included advising on the development of PROFINET devices, lecturing at workshops and managing PROFINET certification procedures.
The book „Industrial communication with PROFINET“ provides a comprehensive overview of PROFINET and is intended to be read by developers of devices as well as plant operators and commissioning engineers.
