The PBMA IP20 is a PROFIBUS active measuring point combining the PBMB active adapter with a Fast Connect diagnostic connector, designed to provide permanent, non-reactive access to PROFIBUS segments for commissioning, diagnostics, and monitoring without interrupting production. Where PROFIBUS installations require built-in diagnostic access at the segment level, the PBMA IP20 serves as both the required measurement interface and an active bus termination — addressing two installation requirements with a single device.
 

Designed as a direct alternative to the Siemens 6ES7972-0DA00-0AA0, the PBMA IP20 supports all PROFIBUS baud rates from 9.6 kbps to 12 Mbps and mounts directly to DIN rail per EN 50022.
 

Key Features
Integrated active bus termination with a Power LED that confirms the 24 VDC supply powering the terminating resistor. The terminating resistor switches via an external sliding switch on the connector, eliminating the need to open the housing during segment configuration or troubleshooting.
 

Fast Connect IDC bus connection (Art. No. 110080001) that enables tool-free cable termination of PROFIBUS Fast Connect line, reducing installation time at new measuring points compared to screw-terminal alternatives. Screw terminal and 90° cable outlet variants are available separately.
 

PG/diagnostic interface for non-reactive connection of PROFIBUS diagnostic tools, programming devices, and monitoring equipment. For connecting laptops or field PGs without loading the bus, use of an Active Programming Cable (APKA or APKA II) is recommended.
 

DIN rail mounting per EN 50022 with a compact profile (PBMA: 82 × 22.5 × 74 mm; PBMB: 82 × 22.5 × 40 mm), suited for installation in control cabinets alongside other DIN-mounted components.
