The SIMATIC CFU CIO HART is an innovative PROFINET device and offers the option of flexibly connecting all signal types to each channel. It is possible to process analog inputs (optionally with HART), analog outputs (optionally with HART), digital inputs and digital outputs. The corresponding signal types are configured conveniently by drag and drop in the engineering. The SIMATIC CFU CIO HART therefore offers a flexible solution for using the different signal types in your system with just one device.

16 freely configurable IO channels:

• Analog input/analog output:

- 0-20 mA, 4-20 mA, 4-20 mA with HART

• Digital input/digital output:

- Different modes available: Standard DI, DI-Namur, DI Open-Collector
- Counter up to 5 kHz
- DI 24 V DC; DQ 24 V DC 0.5/2 A

Ready for distributed use:

• For installation in hazardous areas up to zone 2-22
• Extended temperature range of -40 to +70 °C
• Conformal coating
• Can be used at altitudes of up to 4 000 meters
• Enhanced interference immunity in accordance with NAMUR recommendation NE21
